A Lesson on "Follow the Nudges" with Lauren Allen
Monday Apr 05, 2021
Monday Apr 05, 2021
In this week's episode, I sit down with Lauren Allen, the found of Corporate School Dropout. She is not only a friend of mine, but an inspiration to anyone who is looking to ditch the 9 to 5, and follow the internal guidance that tells them they are made for more. She herself went through this process over 4+ years ago now, and through that experience, she took key learnings and developed the community, podcast, and thriving business she has today!
The first step that lead to significant change in Lauren's life came from the guidance that she received from a kind voice within. Do you hear that voice too? Have you followed it's direction? It might feel uncertain as to where it will lead, but in today's episode, we discuss the importance of listening to that internal guidance and how it has lead Lauren to where she is today, along with some other nuggets of wisdom. After all, the goal of this podcast is to remind you to Connect Back In to who you truly are so that you can find everything that you're looking for outside of yourself. My hope is that you feel inspired to start listening to your own internal nudges, and stop holding back on living the life you were meant to live. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "The Beauty in Sadness"
Friday Mar 05, 2021
Friday Mar 05, 2021
Today's episode is a little shorter than normal, but nevertheless, is still an important concept that I wanted to share everyone. I recently went through a 'sad' phase, and found myself treating the experience as if it was a negative one, that something was 'wrong' with me. Now, back on the other side of things, I see now how important sadness is to our overall well being and happiness as a human. It is truly a beautiful emotion, that if we can see it as such, allows us to blossom into the fullness of who we are. If you're someone who judges your emotions, this episode might be helpful for you to hear. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "Your Spiritual Superpowers"
Thursday Feb 18, 2021
Thursday Feb 18, 2021
I tend to keep my episodes more on the practical side, so the information is relatable to majority of people, however, I've been feeling called lately to share a bit more of my spiritual side, as this is the juice that has shifted my whole world.
In today's episode, I talk about the spiritual superpowers that each and everyone of us hold within us. They are the tools that offer a deep breathe, allow you to slow down, to enjoy the journey of life, and to know that all will be well. It can be hard to recognize these innate resources we hold sometimes, and it isn't because they aren't there, it's just that they've been masked by limiting beliefs or the traps of fear. My hope is that this episode shifts your perspective, even ever so slightly, so you can see all the magic you hold within you. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "Desires"
Thursday Feb 11, 2021
Thursday Feb 11, 2021
As someone who has big goals (desires) for themselves in this one and only life, it is certainly a beautiful thing that can bring forth so much joy and fulfillment, but on our way to them, we can sometimes lose sight of what having desires is all about. In this episode, I talk about why our desires are so important, why we want what we want, how to overcome perceived obstacles along the way, and how to stay on track when you feel like nothing is working out how you planned it. My hope is that this brings you back to the true essence of who you are, and that it reminds you to trust the process. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "Inspired Action Only"
Thursday Feb 04, 2021
Thursday Feb 04, 2021
I was going to title this, "The Anti-Hustle Approach", but figured taking the positive route of what it is vs. what it isn't was more aligned with who I am :) That being said, in this episode of Connect Back In, I discuss why the 'hustle and grind' mentality that is especially common around entrepreneurs, is not the way to go. I've tried it, and believe me when I say, there is such a better way. Listen in for how slowing down and taking inspired action from a place of alignment will ultimately create the success you're looking for while also allowing you to enjoy the process along the way. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "A Reminder to Yourself"
Wednesday Jan 27, 2021
Wednesday Jan 27, 2021
"Everything is everything
What is meant to be, will be
After winter, must come spring
Change, it comes eventually"
- Lauryn Hill
Back when I was younger and consistently rocking 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill', I would sing these lyrics from "Everything is Everything" loud without truly understanding what they meant. It wasn't until later in life when I experienced challenges that these words started to evolve with a new meaning. One thing we can all relate to is that life can have it's challenges, all being relative to our personal experience. If you're going through a tough time, or just simply want to remind yourself of how great you are, I created this episode for you ... and for the later version of me that just might need to hear it. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "Stop Pleasing, Start Listening"
Friday Jan 15, 2021
Friday Jan 15, 2021
I wonder who we could truly be if we didn't need to look for the approval of other's first? In today's episode, I talk about the wide spread epidemic of people pleasing, and how it started way back when we were too little to even realize. This need ultimately has the power to hold us back from our true potential, that is only if we let it.
I dive into why we need to look within for what is right for us, and only we know the answer to that question. You are meant to follow your own unique path, and as much as society teaches us to listen externally, you must not allow the limited view of others hold you back. For more on this, take a listen. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "You Can't Do It Wrong"
Tuesday Jan 05, 2021
Tuesday Jan 05, 2021
As a follow up from my last episode which was focused all around 2021 goal setting, and more about who you're being vs. what you're doing, I wanted to remind you that when it comes to your life, you cannot live it wrong. There is no 'right way', and often times when we set out on accomplishing our New Years resolutions, there is a chance we might fall of the wagon after a few weeks. I'm here to say, that's okay. I think sometimes the damage of shame and being hard on yourself for not maintaining your resolutions can be much more significant than the fact that you didn't tackle your goals. In this episode, I ask questions on what we're measuring ourselves up against that make where we're at wrong? You are the only you there ever will be. You have your own unique gifts and talents, and only you know what is best for you. Thus, you cannot do it wrong. Enjoy!
