A Lesson on "Desires"
Thursday Feb 11, 2021
Thursday Feb 11, 2021
As someone who has big goals (desires) for themselves in this one and only life, it is certainly a beautiful thing that can bring forth so much joy and fulfillment, but on our way to them, we can sometimes lose sight of what having desires is all about. In this episode, I talk about why our desires are so important, why we want what we want, how to overcome perceived obstacles along the way, and how to stay on track when you feel like nothing is working out how you planned it. My hope is that this brings you back to the true essence of who you are, and that it reminds you to trust the process. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "Inspired Action Only"
Thursday Feb 04, 2021
Thursday Feb 04, 2021
I was going to title this, "The Anti-Hustle Approach", but figured taking the positive route of what it is vs. what it isn't was more aligned with who I am :) That being said, in this episode of Connect Back In, I discuss why the 'hustle and grind' mentality that is especially common around entrepreneurs, is not the way to go. I've tried it, and believe me when I say, there is such a better way. Listen in for how slowing down and taking inspired action from a place of alignment will ultimately create the success you're looking for while also allowing you to enjoy the process along the way. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "A Reminder to Yourself"
Wednesday Jan 27, 2021
Wednesday Jan 27, 2021
"Everything is everything
What is meant to be, will be
After winter, must come spring
Change, it comes eventually"
- Lauryn Hill
Back when I was younger and consistently rocking 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill', I would sing these lyrics from "Everything is Everything" loud without truly understanding what they meant. It wasn't until later in life when I experienced challenges that these words started to evolve with a new meaning. One thing we can all relate to is that life can have it's challenges, all being relative to our personal experience. If you're going through a tough time, or just simply want to remind yourself of how great you are, I created this episode for you ... and for the later version of me that just might need to hear it. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "Stop Pleasing, Start Listening"
Friday Jan 15, 2021
Friday Jan 15, 2021
I wonder who we could truly be if we didn't need to look for the approval of other's first? In today's episode, I talk about the wide spread epidemic of people pleasing, and how it started way back when we were too little to even realize. This need ultimately has the power to hold us back from our true potential, that is only if we let it.
I dive into why we need to look within for what is right for us, and only we know the answer to that question. You are meant to follow your own unique path, and as much as society teaches us to listen externally, you must not allow the limited view of others hold you back. For more on this, take a listen. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "You Can't Do It Wrong"
Tuesday Jan 05, 2021
Tuesday Jan 05, 2021
As a follow up from my last episode which was focused all around 2021 goal setting, and more about who you're being vs. what you're doing, I wanted to remind you that when it comes to your life, you cannot live it wrong. There is no 'right way', and often times when we set out on accomplishing our New Years resolutions, there is a chance we might fall of the wagon after a few weeks. I'm here to say, that's okay. I think sometimes the damage of shame and being hard on yourself for not maintaining your resolutions can be much more significant than the fact that you didn't tackle your goals. In this episode, I ask questions on what we're measuring ourselves up against that make where we're at wrong? You are the only you there ever will be. You have your own unique gifts and talents, and only you know what is best for you. Thus, you cannot do it wrong. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "2021 Goal Setting: Stop Doing, Start Being"
Tuesday Dec 29, 2020
Tuesday Dec 29, 2020
As we wind down 2020, I wanted to share with you a process that I started using that allows me to reflect on the past year, and then prepare for the months ahead. In previous years, my 'goal setting' process was one that resembles following the 'S.M.A.R.T.' route, and tying strategies and tactics to those goals in order to help me get 'there' (to achievement) as fast as humanly possible. Now, since realizing the journey is the part of life we should savor the most, I've decided to shift things up a bit and instead of focusing on the doing, I am giving my attention to who I am being.
In this episode, I dive into the process that I use to set me up for success, while still enjoying the pathway there. Enjoy!
Reflection Questions:
- What am I proud of myself for?
- What challenges or opportunities did I face?
- What am I most grateful for?
Being Setup:
- Write down all the results (tangible) that you're hoping to achieve in 2021
- Map out the exact feelings that you would have once achieving all of those goals. Who do you become?
- Tie to those emotions mantra's that evoke that same sense of feeling. What would that version of you believe?
- Use those mantra's as the energy force behind every action you take. I am the type of person that "X".
- The value is this is who you truly are. Coming from this place will not only bring your goals to you faster, but you will enjoy the process along the way.
- Example: Knowing that you are 1000% worthy just as you are. How would you conduct a conversation with a client? Not coming from a place of lack or unworthiness, it would be more productive and this action would take you to where you want to go not only quicker, but while enjoying the process.

A Lesson on "There isn't a Right Way" with Kerri Hummingbird
Thursday Dec 03, 2020
Thursday Dec 03, 2020
If I had to pull together one common theme of this podcast, it really does support the title, which represents connecting back in to who you really are. Because when you do that, you can see that we'll never have all the answers, but finding inner peace with who we are, can guide us in the direction that will bring us the most joy.
To elaborate more on this idea, I've brought in a special guest and friend, Kerri Hummingbird, Soul Guide, who inspires people to lead their lives wide awake with an authenticity, passion and purpose that positively impacts others. In this episode, we talk deep about how Kerri got to where she is today, the lessons she teaches her clients, and why there isn't a 'right way'. Enjoy!
More on Kerri:
She catalyzes mind-shifts that transform life challenges into gifts of wisdom with her Reinvent Yourself programs for individual and group mentoring. A Lesson on "All You Need is Within" with Randi Halaway
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
On the latest episode of CBI, I had the pleasure of connecting with my friend and soul + business coach, Randi Halaway. One of the topics we discuss, and one she focuses on in her coaching, is how we access our inner being to get all questions answered. We often look to others, society, our family, etc. to guide us towards the 'right' path, when where we need to look is within. Nothing outside ourselves can truly guide us towards our north. In this episode, we dive into what 'looking within' actually looks like, how Randi brings her experience from her journey into her coaching, making her the perfect guide, and finally, why this guidance system can bring you closer to your purpose, and bring more joy than you ever thought possible into your life. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "From Burnout to Bliss" with Megan Ladd
Friday Nov 13, 2020
Friday Nov 13, 2020
If you would've asked me a few years back on if I would ever hire a coach, I would flat out say no. I was a DIY-er in all aspects of my life, and I also thought it was honorable to take the hard way, and figure it out on my own. This is until I met Megan Ladd, a Burnout Coach for female entrepreneurs. After starting off as friends, we would connect on ways to align her messaging to speak to her target audience for coaching, as it was me to a 'T'. One night, after a mock consultation, I couldn't believe what Megan was able to identify within me, that I had spent years trying to unfold on my own. Long story short ... I signed up for a six month commitment, and from there, life has become more joyful than I ever thought possible.
Listen into this episode as Megan and I dive deep into what the coaching experience looked like for me, who I was before, and the amazing results I experienced. I go into detail to see if this is something you might be looking for as well. If the pressure of life is overwhelming you on the daily, and you're looking for a way out, a deep breathe to realign yourself and your life, than this is the episode for you. At the very least, I hope this is just another reminder that you're not alone, we all go through things, and life is truly meant to be enjoyed. It is your birthright. Enjoy!
