A Lesson on "Being Kinder to Yourself"
Wednesday Jun 30, 2021
Wednesday Jun 30, 2021
We often times disregard the most important relationship of our life, the one we have with ourselves. We can hold ourselves to standards that are impossible to achieve, ignore the signs our body is giving us, and just lack grace for the fact that we're human, and there is no such thing or measure as perfection. That's why in today's episode, I talk through ways in which we can shift our perception to be kinder to ourselves. Ultimately, the way we treat ourselves is the way we treat others, so it is crucial that we look at the one and only relationship that we'll have for the entirety of our lives. My hope is that after listening, you begin treating yourself with more kindness so that you not only enjoy your life more fully, but you give others the same treatment, making it a kinder world. Enjoy!
Quote shared in the episode from Jen Sincero's book, "You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life"
“You are perfect. To think anything less is as pointless as a river thinking that it’s got too many curves or that it moves too slowly or that its rapids are too rapid. Says who? You’re on a journey with no defined beginning, middle or end. There are no wrong twists and turns. There is just being. And your job is to be as you as you can be. This is why you’re here. To shy away from who you truly are would leave the world you-less. You are the only you there is and ever will be. I repeat, you are the only you there is and ever will be. Do not deny the world its one and only chance to bask in your brilliance.”

A Lesson on "How Do You Measure Your Worth?
Thursday Jun 17, 2021
Thursday Jun 17, 2021
Oh worthiness. What is it? Well, according to Oxford Languages, it is the quality of deserving attention or respect. The thing they don't say, is who determines this? Is there a worthiness director, deciding who is deemed worthy or not? What are the requirements? I'm asking all of these questions so that you can see this doesn't exist. You are the only one that determines your worth or not. So if that is the case, how are you measuring your worthiness? Is it once you accomplish something? Once you get the salary, relationship, body, etc? What if you accepted your worth as your birthright? Just because. How would that change how you show up in the world? Well, in today's episode, I dive into some of the ways in which we hurt ourselves by giving our power away to external measures (job title, salary, body, relationship) to determine our worth. My hope is you shift your perspective into seeing that you're already perfect, and whole, just as you are. There is nothing more you need to earn or to prove. By seeing life through this lens, so much will begin to open up for you, as there is no pressure and you can just live to live, and be to be. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "Five Principles that Keep Me on Track"
Monday May 31, 2021
Monday May 31, 2021
As I spend hours each day diving into books, podcasts, YouTube videos, etc. to continue on my journey of spiritual discovery, I find myself sometimes overwhelmed with all the principles that are available. They say to do this, but not too much, then that, then this, and my mind looks like a ping pong ball as I focus on bringing them to life in my day to day. With all to consider, I find it helpful to narrow in on a few that I feel like capture the essence of them all. These change continue to evolve with time, but where it stands today, I wanted to share with you the concepts/mantras/principles, whatever you want to call them, that I reference from time to time to ensure I'm staying the course and in alignment with my truth. Even when my outside circumstances get challenging, I can visit these to remind myself what's real for me. My hope is that at minimum, one of these principles cause a spark of knowing within you, giving you a sense of calm and freedom, even if just for a moment. Enjoy!
- We’ll never get it all done
- Live life as if you have nothing to prove. You’re already worthy and enough.
- The presence of fear is a sure sign that I’m trusting in my own strength.
- Everything always has been, are now and will always be fine. – Jim Fortin
- Perfection is not a condition to attain; it is a consciousness you live from. - Alan Cohen

A Lesson on "Creating Your Own Identity"
Friday May 28, 2021
Friday May 28, 2021
Who do you think you are? More importantly, what do you tell yourself that you are? In today's episode, I talk all about our self identity. While we are so much more than the words that we often use to describe ourselves (ie, Mother, Wife, Daughter, Woman, Man, Them, Realtor, Teacher, Author, Artist, etc.), it is important to take a look at these words, as they tie with them the meaning and 'labels' that society has defined them as, trying to fit us all into one complete package. Also, a lot of how we see ourselves is tied up in how other's see us, which is such a limited view of who we truly are. What if you decided to start with a clean slate when it comes to the story you tell yourself about 'who you are' vs. allowing the world to say that for you? When listening in today, my hope is that the messages shared make you feel empowered to revisit your identity, and perhaps shift things around a bit to serve you in a new way. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "Honoring Mental Health Awareness Month"
Thursday May 20, 2021
Thursday May 20, 2021
Like most people, I am no stranger to mental illnesses. I've experienced seasons of darkness myself, and I also have friends and family members who have been diagnosed with various mental illness diseases. Thus, in honor of Mental Health Awareness, I wanted to open up the conversation to normalize and release the stigma reminding you, whether you've experienced mental illness or not, that you're not alone. I also share a few ways to pull yourself into a higher vibe energy if you're in a place where you're wanting to do that. I also recognize that it is so important that we honor whatever feelings we have, not dismissing them, as they do share a valuable insight. My hope is that this episode reminds you that you're supported, and never alone on your journey. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "Identifying the Ego"
Wednesday May 12, 2021
Wednesday May 12, 2021
We've all heard before, especially if you're a returning listener to this podcast, that there is an inner voice guiding us in life to the most joyous experience possible. It knows what is best for you, and is always on your side. However, I have often heard others ask, "how do I know which voice is the right one?" Welp, let's just clarify here that there are def two voices, one is your highest self (inner guidance, source, the Universe, God), and the other ... well, without name calling, we'll just be frank and call it the 'ego'. In today's episode, I share with you the few common tricks that the ego has up it's sleeve, and how to identify them as such. What you'll begin to notice is that it's not very creative, and it generally throws at you the same negative thoughts, fears, and worries over and over again. The beauty of this is that once we're able to shine awareness on these common behaviors, it allows you to begin to recognize it's funny tricks and patterns, which then releases them from the hold they've had on you. Remember, the ego truly means well, as it is trying to keep us safe and alive, however, because of this, it can often hold us back on moving forward to the life we're meant to live. My hope is that this episode offers you clarity on which voice is which so that you can begin to listen to the one that will serve you. This way, you can feel free to allow the ego to throw it's tantrums since you'll be too busy chasing your wildest dreams. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "Manifestation Tips"
Thursday May 06, 2021
Thursday May 06, 2021
I talk about manifestation or the law of attraction frequently on my episodes, as this practice and belief system has brought so many desires into my life. I have so much proof that this works, that I can no longer live any other way. Through each experience, I have discovered a few tips and tricks that have allowed me to enjoy the process while on my way to receiving the big goals I have set before me. In today's episode, I figured I'd pull together my top tips to help you manifest whatever it is you're desiring in your life. My hope is that you learn a valuable concept that you can begin to apply immediately, and that it brings with it the results that you're looking for. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "Abundance Mindset"
Thursday Apr 29, 2021
Thursday Apr 29, 2021
What the heck is an abundant mindset? You may or may not be asking yourself. Think 'glass half full vs. glass half empty'. It is a way in which we view the world, interpret information, and essentially live our lives. Have you done inventory on where your mindset is at? What are you telling yourself? What do you believe? If you focus on limitation, lack, worry, fear, it will only bring more of those things into your life (what you focus on, you create more of AND where your attention goes, energy flows). Thus, the worse it gets, the worse it gets. However, if you can get to a place where you can flip a coin to the other side and see possibility, more than enough to go around, and that you are fully supported, life get's so much easier. The better it gets, the better it gets.
In today's episode I share some reminders on how you can to shift from a lack mindset (think Eeyore) to an abundance mindset (think Tigger). It's not about being happy all the time and avoiding feeling, as we need to feel what we feel. We're human beings and it isn't possible to not feel a sense of lack (see things from a negative lense) from time to time. However, it is about recognizing when it does happen, letting it go without attaching any guilt to it, and then trying again from this list of reminders. My hope is that it shifts your perspective even in the slightest way to bring you more joy and ease into your life, as that's what we're here for. Enjoy!

A Lesson on "Ways to Embrace Change"
Thursday Apr 22, 2021
Thursday Apr 22, 2021
I recently hit the two year anniversary of my Dad's passing, and as hard as it is to believe he has been gone that long already, I also took some time to recognize how much I have grown from this experience. This undesired change has been by far the most challenging thing I've ever gone through, but I have also expanded as a being more than I ever thought I would.
Change, whether it's within our control or not, can be really uncomfortable to go through. As humans, we tend to believe that change is the enemy, but expansion within our world and ourselves cannot happen without it.
In today's episode of Connect Back In podcast, I talk about why change is good, and share with you some reminders to allow you to see the process for what it truly is. If you're experiencing change at the moment, take a listen to help you see a different perspective. My goal is that you hear something that will allow you to lean into the change, feel some relief, and release some of your resistance. Remember, the only thing that is constant in life is change. Learning to master this process will reap so many benefits in your life, and allow you to grow and blossom into the fullest version of you. Enjoy!

Friday Apr 16, 2021
Friday Apr 16, 2021
I recently went through a breakthrough experience where I finally made a decision on something that was holding me back for over a year and a half! This is highly unlike me as generally when I make a choice, it is as good as done. However, this decision had a hold on me that I wasn't even fully aware of. As we are confronted day in and day out with decisions, sometimes it can be tough to know how to navigate them. Which choice should I make? What if I make the wrong decision? Well, if this is you, or ever has been you, take a listen to today's episode where I walk through some ways in which you can support yourself when making a decision in life, no matter how big or small. My hope is that you gain clarity and through these processes, release some of the pressure on yourself, and remember that we're all figuring it out as we go along, and as always, you are never alone. Enjoy!
